2022 Ironman Australia and New Zealand Schedule, Are You Ready?
IRONMAN Oceania launched its 2022 event schedule with all IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 races in Australia and New Zealand. It's time to start planning.
IRONMAN Oceania has today launched its 2022 event calendar with all IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 races in Australia and New Zealand now open for entry.
The 2022 calendar features 13 events across the region, providing plenty of opportunities for athletes to get back in action and out racing again.
Geoff Meyer, Managing Director of The IRONMAN Group Oceania, said the 2022 calendar provided plenty of opportunities for athletes in Australia and New Zealand to race in their favourite locations.
“After a disjointed last two years for our athletes we can’t wait to see them back out on course doing what they love,” said Meyer. “We know that so many athletes have been in and out of lockdowns, hampering their ability to train and even get to races, and with restrictions beginning to ease the year ahead is looking positive across both Australia and New Zealand.
“By having all 13 events open at the same time athletes are able to plan out their year, lock in entries for their favourite events and begin their preparations,” he said. “As a part of our 2022 Season Launch campaign we’ve also got an incredible prize pack that will be given away, along with special offers for everyone that signs up for an event.”
All athletes who are registered for a race in 2022 will go into the draw to win the Ultimate Race Pack, valued at over $11,000, which features a range of products to help get them to their next start line. Everyone who enters an event before 2 December 2021 will also receive a merchandise gift voucher for use in the new IRONMAN Oceania Online Store.
The 2022 season begins with IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong on 20 February, before shifting across the Tasman for Nutri-Grain IRONMAN New Zealand and Nutri-Grain IRONMAN 70.3 New Zealand on 5 March. On 1 May the National Storage IRONMAN Australia and National Storage IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie are set to be held for the first time since 2019, with it set to be the 35th running of IRONMAN Australia.
In June the action heads north for the Cairns Airport IRONMAN Asia Pacific Championship Cairns and Cairns Airport IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns, with IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast and IRONMAN 70.3 Western Sydney taking place in September.
GWM IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne will be held on 13 November, ahead of GWM IRONMAN Western Australia and GWM IRONMAN 70.3 Western Australia in Busselton on 4 December. The 2022 season wraps up with IRONMAN 70.3 Taupō on 10 December.
