History was written today, not just on paper but also in the pristine waters of Kailua-Kona. Over 2,000 strong women dove into the 2023 Ironman World Championship, creating a splash unlike any seen before. For the first time ever, Kailua-Kona hosted an all-women field for this prestigious triathlon, while the men's segment was held in Nice, France earlier in September.
The day commenced with a thrilling 2.4-mile (3.8km) swim on the Swim Course, providing a spectacle for audiences worldwide, as competitors made their way through the shimmering waters of Kailua Bay.
