Multisport Dreaming – A book covering 30 years of Australian Triathlon

This brand new book by Dr Jane Hunt is amazing! That pretty much sums it up.

Almost four years of painstaking work has gone in to bringing together a huge amount of the history of Australian. Dr Hunt has been involved in triathlon well before the idea of this book came about. Along with her husband Shane, they were members of the Balmoral Triathlon Club for years before moving up to the Gold Coast where Dr Hunt started this project at Bond University. Dr Hunt has taught a range of Australian History, Australian Studies, Australian Cultural History and Modern History subjects across seven Australian universities since 1999. Her research interests include various aspects of Australian cultural history, among them female cultural authority along with cultural histories of running and triathlon.

We have been reading this book for a couple of weeks now and have copies of it at Northside Runners in Wollongong. Everyone who has picked it up to read has been amazed at the content, quality and feel of the book. It is a collectors piece.
