Super League Triathlon Secures Global Broadcast Deals

Super League Triathlon’s unique blended event in London has secured major global broadcast deals.

The SLT Arena Games Powered by Zwift comes to the UK for the first time with an event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on March 27, before heading to Rotterdam on April 18.

After a successful debut for the mix of in real life and virtual racing in 2020, the event has attracted considerable interest and will be shown across 179 territories.

Key market deals include BBC in the UK, Sport1 in Germany, L’equipe in France and FloSports in the USA.

In addition, there will be highlights on Eurosport and further live coverage on BeIN sports across the Middle East, Fox Sports Asia, Fox Sports Australia and New Zealand and NENT. A full list of broadcasters can be found on the Super League Triathlon website.

The SLT Arena Games Powered by Zwift took the triathlon world by storm on its debut in Rotterdam last year and has secured a world class start list for 2021, including Olympic medallist Jonathan Brownlee, World Champion Georgia Taylor-Brown and Britain’s best long course triathlete Lucy Charles-Barclay.

Athletes complete three rounds of fast and furious action. The 200m swim legs takes place in an Olympic sized pool and the 4km bike and 1km run stages on static equipment with the racing realised in the virtual world of Zwift, the world’s leading online training and racing platform, providing detailed data insights and up close and personal emotions of the competitors.
